Gigi was much better at lunch today. And she was hilarious in her sunglasses.

I try to have lunch with Stephanie and Gigi whenever I can. Today, we
had Chinese food and Gigi was very bad. She was screaming and
throwing things and really wanted to just run loose in the
restaurant. We moved outside and because no one else was there, we
were able to strap her into her high chair and just make her deal with
it. She finally wore down and returned to pretty good behavior in
time to have some fortune cookies. Here’s what her fortune said:
“A great pleasure in life is doing what others say you can’t.”
Thanks, cookie.

Molly and Michael took us out sailing today. Gigi got two rides on a
little dinghy, too. Her confidence keeps rising as she spends more
time near the water. She’s about ready to jump overboard now.
They’re back in Syracuse now, but we had a fun time with them on our whirlwind tour of the San Diego Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and Disneyland. That’s a lot of parks! I put up a lot of our photos on Flickr, so you can see ‘em if you’d like. Otherwise, here are some highlights:
Stephanie, Gigi, and a cookie.
Me in a hat with a smiley baby.
Gigi picking our route.
Max in a dark, icy cave at Sea World. (Illuminated by the flash in a way that makes this look like broad daylight, and somewhat Austin Powers-y.)
Marley, having fun.
Max, hoping this bird has pooped recently and will not need to do it again for a while.
Marley, keeping Gigi happy in the car.
Gigi, shocked that we would bring her to a place where dolphins would be able to splash water on her.

We went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with Tracy, Max and
Marley. We got as close to a lion as you can get without being eaten.
It was a long weekend and a very very hot day on the red carpet, and now the Daytime Emmys are finally finished. Overall, it was challenging, but very fun and we put up a lot of cool videos on soapnet.com. I worked from home all day saturday, but thankfully I had someone to help me get through a hot, stressful weekend of work.
We were heading into Burbank today, so I thought I’d take Gigi to Johnny Carson Park for a bit before we ran some errands. I was expecting a nice, quiet stroll but instead there was a big car show there. (No, we didn’t see Jay Leno, even though it was right across from NBC.) I didn’t really take a lot of good car pics, but I thought Gigi looked pretty funny in this one.
P.S. We did see a pretty sweet Delorean.
