The White Man Olympics begins.
I'm still logging and capturing footage. This is a picture of Mark (Sean Mumford) shooting a basketball, granny style.

Duck.
I've got a couple of little surprises for you today. The first is a brief, completely out of context, silent video clip of Sean Mumford playing with a toy duck. If that's not random enough for you, how about this little clip of Andrew Fuller? He does enjoy chips. (Actually, by the end he was spitting them into the garbage between takes.) I think I mentioned that this is more of a production diary than a polished promotional website. If you didn't believe me before, those two clips should convince you. This is what uncut footage looks like, people. I have about thirty hours of this to go through!

One other thing was quietly added today: credits. This was an obvious, glaring ommision on the site, and I've done my best to remedy it. Not everyone who worked on the film is listed (so I guess I should also apologize in advance), but it's a start and I didn't like the idea of maintaining this site without sharing at least some of the blame with other people.

Fine.
The logging and capturing is going fine. I finished tape 13 yesterday, so I'm approaching the half way point. The footage looks good, and I am getting ready to start editing. I actually have everything I need to edit chronologically to scene 10, so if I get impatient with logging footage I do have plenty to start off with. I'm still going with the theory that it will be good to have all the footage in the computer before I start editing. Which unfortunately means I don't have any new edited scenes to show you. That doesn't mean I'm not working.

What are you looking at?
Oh, you want to know what's going on with the movie. Well, I'm logging and capturing footage right now. I've done almost 6 of 30 hours so far. Once everything's in there, I'll start on the rough cut. I may start early if I get restless, but it's a lot easier once everything I plan to use is in the computer. I have to at least get to the poker scenes before I can start editing. Last night I captured some good footage of Bob eating bean dip - I may put that online for you to look at soon.

Welcome to the new site!
This is the moderately revised site for Hopeless Virgins in Love. I think there's some more room to grow now.
My plan is for this to be more of a production diary than a promotional website. I'll be adding photos, videos and news as I continue to work on the film. This picture is actually a still from the film. You'll probably see a lot of those on this page - I plan to export stills as I'm editing so you can see what I'm working on.
We shot this film in and around Los Angeles. We just wrapped principal photography on July 2nd. There are still a few things to shoot, but really I'm heading into the editing phase. I've had a few days to start logging footage and I hope to have a rough cut ready by the end of the summer. I can't wait to see all the scenes we filmed in order - the movie's in there somewhere and I just need to put it all together.

This is a quick test. I think this will be the new HVIL web site.
