Sundance Submission
I submitted the film to Sundance yesterday. It was a pretty good feeling to have a good, solid, work-in-progress cut on DVD and to be able to hand it off to a big, scary film festival. I drove to Beverly Hills to drop it off in person, and there were a whole lot of submissions in the office. Even still, it felt good to know that my film was one of them.

Time to whip this movie into shape.
I've made it to the end of the rough cut. Actually, I got there September 8th. I still haven't had time to watch the thing the whole way through (long story), but I know I have a few more things I need to get to before I'm ready to show it to people. (Actually, I did show Heather and Wes the first hour and they seemed to really like it, so that makes me feel good about how the movie is going.) I have some voice overs and a few scenes where the audio is really rough, then I need to tighten up the Pilates scene (which will be hilarious when it's finished) and then probably about a million other things and it will be all ready to go. But it's getting there. And there's an ending now, which is nice.

Tasty goodness.
I'm about 88 minutes into the rough cut now, and I'm hoping to get to the end of the movie by the end of the week. I'm excited, and I thought it might be time to show you some of what I've been working on. So, here are some scenes from the rough cut for you to check out.

You can watch Carl rant about infidelity, attend an art class, comfort a friend in his time of need, or just have a nice breakfast with friends. It's up to you.
